Daily Wisdom. Eternal Truth. Shared Reflection.
Just The Proverbs
The book of Proverbs is one of the most timeless collections of wisdom ever written — a guide for how to live with integrity, understanding, and discernment.
Just The Proverbs exists because these verses speak directly to the heart of everyday life. They remind me—and all of us—that wisdom isn’t just knowledge; it’s how we walk through the world, how we treat others, and how we listen to God’s quiet instruction.
Every day, I share a verse (or a few) from the book of Proverbs—passages filled with guidance, truth, and reflection for our modern lives. Whether you’re new to Scripture or have read it many times, I invite you to slow down, read thoughtfully, and share what each verse means to you.
This page is a space for reflection, conversation, and growth—a daily pause to realign with the values that make life meaningful: honesty, humility, compassion, and wisdom.
Read. Reflect. Respond.
Take a moment to sit with the words. Let them guide your day, inspire your thoughts, and deepen your understanding. Then, share your reflections in the comments—your perspective may be exactly the insight someone else needs today.

12/14/25
“Then out came a woman to meet him (the youth with no sense), dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent. (She is unruly and defiant, her feet never stay at home; now in the street, now in the squares, at every corner she lurks.) She took hold of him and kissed him and with a brazen face she said: ‘Today I fulfilled my vows, and I have food from my fellowship offering at home. So I came out to meet you; I looked for you and have found you! I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt. I have my perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon. “My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Bind them always on your heart; fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. For this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life, keeping you from your neighbor’s wife, from the smooth talk of a wayward woman” (Prov 6: 20-24 NIV).
12/3/25
“There are six things the Lord hates; seven that are detestable to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community” (Prov 6:16-19 NIV).

“Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your own way. But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity over takes you – when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you’” (Prov 1:20-27 NIV).

How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.

How useless to spread a net where every bird can see it! These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves! Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it” (Prov 1:10-19 NIV).
