2024: A Year of Tragic Loss, Unsettling Changes…but also filled with Faith, Love & Hope

Last week I left off with November 2023 and today I want to jump to 2024. I will always count 2024 as one of the most tragic and pivotal years of my life. My father was very ill in January.  

However, he did not want to go back to the hospital. He was in Florida at this time and the four weeks he had spent in the hospital there in November 2022 were horrific for him and he was determined not to return to that hospital.  

He finally did go to the hospital on January 19, 2024 and he died there on February 1, 2024.   My faith, which will now always remain with me and be the centerpiece of the rest of my life, guided me through the weeks, months and years that followed. Here I have included some photos I used for the slideshow I made for my dad’s funeral.
