Through God’s Grace, I started a Book Club in the Spring of 2023!

Today I will tell you about my life from the time my father got so sick in November 2022 through the spring of 2023. During that time, I spent more time with my parents in Florida than I did in New York by a lot.  Still, my parents needed more help than I could provide and my whole life in New York felt like it was falling apart. I was not in New York nearly enough to fulfill my personal and professional obligations.  

My son Justin needed me, Pete needed me and the organization I was running needed me.  I felt so overwhelmed. In the midst of everything, in the spring of 2023, I decided to start a Book Club at the not-for-profit I was running. Looking back, I truly believe it was through God’s grace.  

In so many ways that Book Club helped me during a very turbulent time.  First, it helped me with scheduling since it met once a month. I had to be in New York for the meetings so I could plan out my schedule accordingly. I also loved reading the books, preparing for the meetings and facilitating them. We had a great group of ladies and it was the perfect project for me at the perfect time. Next week I will describe something else significant that happened the first part of 2023.
