Welcome to Tuesday Tracy!

Hi. Welcome to my Blog Post!  I am so excited to share my journey of faith with you here. These posts will mirror my “Tuesday Tracy” videos where I will share a little about myself and my faith. I hope you will enjoy getting to know me a little through this Blog.

Here it goes! My name is Tracy McCabe Shelton. I am 61 years old. Ouch! I was born and raised in Maryland where I was confirmed at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury, Maryland. That is where I actually received my first Bible at my confirmation when I was just 8 or 9 years old!  Now that I am retired, I finally had the chance to read my childhood Bible cover-to-cover.  I started reading it in December 2024 and finished just about one year later. As I have been reading and studying the Bible my journey has included an online Bible Book Club, daily posts of Bible Bit videos where I share the chapters and verses I am reading and studying and daily posts of The Proverbs, because I think those are extra special.  Check out my “Tracy’s Table” website for more on all of that.

In January 2026, I applied and was accepted as Master of Divinity Candidate at Wesley Theological Seminary.  I am so excited to start the program this August. 

Since I am retired, I now try to spend as much time in Maryland as I can with family and friends. I also became a member of the Atlantic United Methodist Church in Ocean City, Maryland about one year ago.  I love the church. Last fall, I hosted and facilitated a series of Bible Book Club meetings and, for the second year, I coordinated the auction for our annual Church Christmas Bazaar. 

When I am in Maryland, I stay with my mom and I love spending time with her and the rest of my beautiful family. Also … in the summers, we go to the beach, which I love! 

I have lived in New York since 1990 and next week (I plan to post on this Blog every Tuesday) I will tell you a bit about my life in New York. I hope you enjoyed my first Blog Post!
