A Little About My Life In New York

For this week’s Blog Post I would like to share a little about my life in New York.

First and foremost, I raised two beautiful sons in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. Brian just turned 29 - wow! - and Justin will turn 24 this summer. Justin did two Bible Bits with me last spring so you saw him in those. They were both baptized at Riverdale Presbyterian Church/RPC which is an iconic church in this community with its notable red doors. I became a member of RPC in 2003 and I loved attending the church when my children were young.

However, they got into soccer and baseball and games and practices conflicted with church and we all became too busy to attend. One of my biggest regrets in life will be not making faith more of a focus in our home. All these years later I finally feel like I have the time to explore my own faith and I pray one day my sons will follow my example. Retirement time is NOT too late and it is never too late to read, study and spread God’s Holy Word. Next time I will share more about my life in New York now.
